Badlands Saga pt 1

Riley thought about the days of his insecurity, how the slightest suggestion of public affection made his heart race and hands sweat. Those days were long passed he reasoned. It was a warm December day. Weather like that once drew many to the streets and parks, but on that day Riley and Ryker enjoyed the pavement together alone.

The sound of their smacking hips echoed between empty brick buildings and returned to them in a chorus of claps. Riley straddled Ryker comfortably. There was nowhere else he felt more safe, than in Ryker's powerful embrace. Ryker too enjoyed the unique friendship they had together. He preferred the company of women, but he gladly settled for Riley when they met*, after Ryker had gone longer without physical affection than he cared to experience again.

The duo continued the raucous performance until Ryker final had enough and finished their session. Riley continued to pant a while after. Ryker pivoted his hips and Riley spilled over, which made him feel as a puzzle piece removed from a its proper place. He sat up and placed his hands in his lap to watch Ryker.

"No one, again." Ryker sighed while grabbing their bags from across the street. They had set their belongings on a bench before they engaged one another. "For how loud that was, we would've attracted people if they were here."

"What should we do?" Riley didn't mind.

"Keep at it." Ryker reminded Riley.

The two washed with partially filled buckets they had found, and ate from old cans, then they were on their way. Heading nowhere particular.

Riley and Ryker settled into an abandoned apartment tower. That night Ryker pressed Riley against a window overlooking the city and he told Riley to wish the city a farewell. At the rate they traveled, Ryker expected to be out from the city by midday.
